A grant of £117,557 supported a Post doctoral lab post to establish the scientific basis of adipose tissue in the repair or reversal of contracted scar tissue after severe burns injury. To apply the evidence obtained to support clinical advances in the use of lipoaspirate for the prevention of skin contraction in adult and paediatric patients post burn.  Trial. It is anticipated that the work will develop routes to clinical trial.
